The last couple of weeks, all I’ve heard from people was how tired they are of winter. We had 50* weather at the end of last week and I think a lot of people thought that Phil the Ground Hog was right.
My poor car had to sit out last night! Orangeguy put her in the garage to warm up before he left for work. I will shovel the walks when I go out for the mail.
Waiting for spring to come!
Remember the neighbor’s new house? Here it is with the old house. The fierce winds we had over the weekend blew down several of the trusses…
Inside things are blooming:
African violets!
Christmas Cactus blooming and 2 new buds!
Friday night we had a good time at the Couples Dinner. It was fun looking at everyone’s wedding pictures.
Saturday, Orangeguy put in a lot of time splitting and stacking his wood for next winter. I got some time in the sewing room! Our son brought over his 2 kids for supper and a visit. We had leftover chili, and strawberry mousse. Had fun with the kids. We did a puzzle and played. That night when I showered I noticed that there wasn’t much water in the toilet. Flushed and plunged it but no difference.
Sunday we went to Church and Sunday School. DH worked on the toilet issue off and on during the afternoon. Finally just before we were to leave to go to Walmart and supper, he got it running!!! YEAH!!!
Had a prescription to get at Walmart and baby detergent to wash the baby quilts. They are in the washer now.
Been working on a kid quilt top with soccer balls for quilt group.
Hope to finish putting the top together today. Besides doing laundry, mopping the floor, getting the stuff out of collegegirl’s room so she can come home and get the tax stuff ready for my appt.
How’s your day going???
Blessings,
Karen
